Here are the solutions - Any better clues for the solutions, please let me know :)
1. Réné's back in strife, both headless in the Canary Islands (8)
{-S}T ({-R} ENE) RIFE. Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands.
2. Antiquated aromatic substance vouched for by the Carmina Burana (3,5)
OLD SPICE. The Carmina Burana is the music piece that appears in the Old Spice aftershave ad...
3. Beginner adds a stroke to a misprint (4)
TYRO. A misprint is a TYPO, adding a stroke (\) to it makes it TYRO.
4. It is a charm, it really is! (8)
Was surprised no one got this - CHARISMA. An anagram in disguise :)
5. A fast movement down to the last letter upsetting chores (7)
SCHERZO, mixing up Chores + z (the last letter). Scherzo's a fast movement in music.
